A Bloomington man has been charged with multiple misdemeanors for driving drunk in September, police said.

Chad R. Gelinas, 23, was charged Nov. 30. Police stopped him at about 11 p.m. Sept. 4 at State Road 46 East/Snyder Road.

Brown County sheriff’s deputy Joe Jackson reported smelling alcohol on Gelinas, that his speech was slow, his eyes were glossy/bloodshot, his balance was unsteady and that he fumbled for his registration and proof of insurance. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.18, more than twice the legal limit.

Gelinas was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated — endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor.
