Big Woods expanding to fifth Indiana community

While it’s working on Hard Truth Hills in Nashville, the Big Woods family of companies is making plans to open a restaurant in a fifth Indiana community: Westfield.
The City of Westfield announced the expansion on its website this morning.
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will go on the southwest corner of State Road 32 and U.S. 31 near Grand Park, a 400-acre sports complex, the city reported.
“Grand Park is a wonderful facility that is bringing people from all over the country to Westfield, so it will be great to be close to the new development that is happening in that area,” co-owner Jeff McCabe said in a press release.
“Once again our community’s investment in Grand Park is doing exactly what it was intended to do,” said Mayor Andy Cook on the city’s website. “From its inception, Grand Park was seen as a way to spur long-term economic development for the surrounding area that will cater to our burgeoning hospitality industry.”
The new restaurant will include indoor and outdoor seating and serve Hard Truth Distilling Company spirits and Quaff ON! beers.
“Our intent is to take the best of everything we’ve done so far in our other locations and bring that to Westfield,” McCabe said.
“The more people we’ve talked to from Westfield, the more confident we’ve become in our decision to build here.”
Big Woods Westfield is expected to open next winter, the city reported.
Big Woods already operates two restaurants in Nashville with a third under construction at Hard Truth Hills; and one each in Bloomington, Franklin and Speedway.
