Council still seeking applicants for PTABOA
The Brown County Council is accepting resumes and/or letters of interest from people interested in serving on the Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (PTABOA).
All applicants, including those seeking appointment or reappointment, must submit their resume and/or letter of interest to the county auditor by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 and attend a meeting of the county council on Monday, Dec. 18 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Salmon Room of the County Office Building. Applicants will be asked to briefly speak about their interest and qualifications.

Commissioners accepting letters of interest
The Brown County Commissioners are accepting letters until 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 for the following board positions:
Alcoholic Beverage Commission: one-year term, one seat
Area Plan Commission: four-year term, two positions
Board of Zoning Appeals: four-year year term, must be appointed from membership of APC
Brown County Redevelopment Commission: one-year term, three positions
Brown County Board of Health: three positions, must be physician or other qualified occupation; see health department for qualifications
Brown County Convention and Visitors Commission (tourism commission): one-year term, two positions, must represent lodging or business interests
Gnaw Bone Regional Sewer District: four-year term
Hamblen Township Fire Protection District: four-year term
Helmsburg Regional Sewer District: four-year term
Brown County Public Library Board: four-year term
P.T.A.B.O.A (Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals): one-year term, two positions; see assessor for qualifications
