An Indianapolis man was injured in Brown County Nov. 29 while riding an all-terrain vehicle on a friend’s property.
According to Lt. Angela Goldman with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Michael Martinie II, 49, was riding a four-wheeler on a friend’s private property in the 3400 block of Salt Creek Road.
Goldman said Martinie was hunting, and his gun rack on the front of the four-wheeler caught a tree and caused the wheel to turn sharply. Martinie was thrown from the vehicle, but it did not overturn on him, Goldman said.
He was taken to a hospital by ambulance for possible fractured ribs, , Goldman said.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department and Hamblen Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted the conversation officer at the scene.
