A Nashville man has been charged with a felony for driving while intoxicated after he was charged with the crime twice in less than five years.

Jacob Cramer, 41, was stopped by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht at about 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19 on Locust Lane. Eggebrecht stopped Cramer’s vehicle for not having proper color turn signals, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Eggebrecht reported that Cramer’s speech was “extremely fast,” that he had dialated pupils, he was fumbling and his balance was unsteady.

The results of a chemical test were pending at press time.

He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor; and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor Oct. 20. His OWI charge was elevated to a Level 6 felony because he was charged with an OWI in Brown County in the last five years.
