BELMONT — A 20-year-old Columbus man has been charged with illegal consumption of alcohol and drunken driving in Brown County.

Oman Quevedo-Viveros was pulled over at 10:14 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 5300 block of State Road 46 West.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht reported that Quevedo-Viveros was driving with expired plates and left of center. The officer noticed the odor of alcohol beverage when speaking with Quevedo-Viveros, and when he exited his Acura, his balance was unsteady and he leaned against the vehicle, the report said.

A breath test measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.115, over the limit for a driver of legal drinking age, the report said.

He was taken to jail. On Oct. 30, he was formally charged with four alcohol-related misdemeanors.
