A Nashville man was arrested Oct. 15 after police say he drove with more than four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system and crashed near his apartment.

At around 9:40 p.m. Nashville Police Officer William Pruitt responded to the crash on Willow Street and found Ryan D. Daniel, 46, smelling of alcohol, the police report said.

Pruitt also reported that Daniel had alcoholic beverages in his car, that his speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot, his manual dexterity and balance were poor, he urinated on himself and was stumbling, according to the affidavit.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.38, almost five times the legal limit of 0.08.

Daniel was charged Oct. 16 with operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
