Patty (Patricia) Ann Hays, 72, of Nashville, died after a brief, aggressive battle with cancer Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017.
She is survived by her spouse and love of her life, Jim, whom she married 53 years ago; her daughters, Theresa Mixon of The Woodlands, Texas, and Sherry Timmerman of New Middletown, Indiana; her grandson, Garrett Mixon of The Woodlands, Texas; three sisters, Helen (Walter) Scott of Morgantown, Jeannie (Wayne) Stewart of Lexington, Indiana, and Val (Doug) Tingley of Clarksville; and her mother, Margaret Rush Very of Corydon.
Patty loved everything about life, from her passion for greeting-card making to kayaking, classes on astronomy, making metal sculpture, traveling and other things too numerous to mention. Most of all, family, friends and volunteering were her favorite things in life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1008 McLary Road, Nashville. Calling will be one hour prior to the Mass. A private graveside service will follow the Mass. A luncheon will be served by the ladies of the St. Agnes Guild after the Mass.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North.
