Letters: A note of thanks to Brown County family

0

To the editor:

I would like to thank all of our friends in Brown County for their hugs, well wishes and cards following the passing of my mom, Edith Gill of Danville on Friday, July 28.

When I was explaining to one of my former saxophone students that I wasn’t able to continue with those students because I would be helping to care for my mother, I told him that she taught me everything I knew about excellence. His comment was, “Wow! She must be amazing!” And she was.

Thank you again for bringing me such great joy and comfort by being my Brown County “family” for the past 17 years, especially now. We live in quite a remarkable community!

Jinny Thompson, Brown County
