A teen fell asleep while driving the morning Aug. 11, causing him to crash and roll his vehicle, a police report said.

Tanner J. Brock, 18, of Hoover Road, was driving on Hoover Road near State Road 46 at around 7 a.m. when the vehicle left the road, struck a tree and then a utility pole before rolling over and landing back on its wheels facing northwest, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell.

Brock told police he did not remember falling asleep, but woke up hitting something and bracing his arms on the roof of the vehicle as it was rolling over, the report states.

He was treated at the scene for an abrasion to his hand. The 2002 Chrysler Town & Country he was driving was towed, the police report said.
