GREENSBORO, N.C. — North Carolina authorities are investigating the death of a 43-year-old man found shot outside a home.

Greensboro police say Craig Bernard was found on a lawn about 12:30 a.m. Friday after someone called 911 to report a shooting.

Bernard had been shot once. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say they have no motive or suspect yet.

It is the city’s 27th homicide this year.
