AREA BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on August 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Benjamin and Amy Langdon for a Special Exception to allow a Tourist Home.

The location of the property is 6157 Oak Ridge Rd. in Jackson Township.

Legal description of premises:  TRACT2A

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 10 North, Range 2 East of the Second Principal Meridian, In Brown County, Indiana, described as follows:

Commencing at the southwest comer of said quarter quarter; thence north 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east (assumed bearing) along the west line of said quarter quarter 648.64 feet to a railroad spike set marking the point of beginning; thence north 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east along the west line of said quarter quarter 188.57 feet to a railroad spike set; thence south 89 degrees 36 minutes 59 seconds east 1334.98 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar with cap set on the east line of said quarter quarter; thence south 00 degrees 08 minutes 21 seconds east along the east line of said quarter quarter 328.57 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar with cap set; thence north 89 degrees 36 minutes 59 second’s west 713.48 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar with cap set; thence north 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds east 140.00 feet to a 5/8 Inch rebar with cap set; thence north 89 degrees 36 minutes 59 seconds west 622.30 feet to the point of beginning, containing 8.072 acres, more or less.

The file on this matter is available for public Inspection 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
