LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 2-year-old boy who was shot in the face has died in Kentucky.

Louisville police said officers arrived at the scene Monday afternoon to find the child critically injured. Police said in a news release the boy was taken to a hospital and died.

Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell told media outlets at least two other people, including an adult, were in the home at the time of the shooting. The adult was being interviewed.

The child’s name hasn’t been released.
