A Brown County man told police he snorted methamphetamine before driving a motorcycle with a suspended license on July 5.

Nashville Police Assistant Chief Tim True stopped the driver, Travas C. Haines, 31, on Greasy Creek Road at about 1:30 a.m. His report said that Haines’ speech was fast, his eyes were red/watery, that he was “tweaking” and his balance was unsteady.

He told police he had snorted methamphetamine about 20 minutes before he was stopped, the police report said.

He was charged July 10 with driving while suspended, operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance or its metabolite in the body, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, all misdemeanors.
