Richard Sturgeon, 78, Nashville, died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; son, R. Mark Sturgeon of Concord, California; daughter, Sandra Ritter of Bloomington; and a grandson.

His funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North, with Pastor Daniel Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery.

Calling at the funeral home was to be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 10, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society; or to South Central Indiana Hospice, 2626 17th St, Columbus, IN 47201.
