A Gosport man faces a felony in Brown County after he failed to report to the Brown County jail for not paying child support.

Cary R. Burch, 41, was sentenced to 90 days in jail after being found in contempt of court, a probable cause affidavit by investigator Steve Brahaum states. The court said Burch could be released from jail if he posted a $3,000 cash bond that would be credited to his child support debt.

Burch was ordered to report to jail April 28, but he did not do so and did not pay his cash bond. He was charged June 20 with failure to return to lawful detention, a Level 6 felony.
