A woman who crashed at 286 Salt Creek Road the afternoon of June 5 was driving drunk, police said.

Shannon Simons, 32, of Walls Road, was charged on June 8.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht reported that Simons smelled of alcohol, her balance was unsteady and speech was slow, and she failed all field tests. A breath test measured her blood-alcohol level at 0.27, more than three times the legal limit.

Three misdemeanor alcohol offenses were filed, but two were elevated to Level 6 felonies because she had been convicted of the same crimes in 2013 in Brown County.
