Bennett Brady Hatchett, 40, of Brown County, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Bennett was born May 16, 1977 at Bloomington Hospital to James and Fay (Stogdill) Hatchett. He grew up in Brown County.

His first love was electronics. He enjoyed ham radio, photography and fixing stuff. He could build something from nothing or fix anything mechanical or electrical. He was also a great carpenter. He was a real blessing to those in need and helped many people.

He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Williams and Anita Miller; his uncle, Ernie Stogdill; three nephews; and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Bennett Hatchett; his mother, Fay Marie Hatchett; and his sister, Yvonne Hatchett.

A funeral service was to be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 3, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville, with interment to follow in Elkinsville Cemetery. The family received visitors at the funeral home July 2.
