A man police suspected to have been involved in burglaries over recent months has been charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle L. Mitchell, 28, of Indianapolis, told Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht Feb. 8 that he “had been hard up for money lately and had looked through the house that he was living in and found a few items to pawn,” a police report said.

He admitted to selling DVDs of two seasons of “Breaking Bad” and a wireless speaker at a store in Indianapolis. He also told police he and a friend had stolen numerous tools since last summer.

While executing a search warrant on a home in the 1000 block of Three Story Hill Road, police reported finding a water bong and other marijuana paraphernalia. Mitchell told police it was all his, the report said.

He was issued a court summons in May. A probable-cause affidavit explaining the charges was filed June 8.
