Notice is hereby given that the Hamblen Township Fire Protection District will be accepting sealed bids until 4:00pm on Monday July 17, 2017 for the purchase of a Rescue Pumper Fire Apparatus, conforming in all respects to National Fire Protection Association (“NFPA”) pamphlet# 1901, 2016 edition for motor vehicle apparatus. Further, detailed specifications are available from the undersigned, but at a minimum the apparatus must include the following features: 2018 model year chassis, conforming to NFPA rules and CFR Title 49 chapter 5; 4×2 axle configuration; powered by diesel engine offering not less than 450 horsepower at 2100 RPM; automatic transmission; not less than 68 gallon fuel tank; appropriate air brake system and antilock braking system; minimum 1000 gallon water tank, together with a minimum 25 gallon foam tank; 1500 GPM pump; at least 2 power take off (PTO) mounting locations; minimum 2 year apparatus warranty.

All bids should be mailed to Hamblen Fire Protection District, Attention Roy Shea, 6593 Sweetwater Trail, Nineveh, IN 46164. All bids will be publicly opened and read on July 17, 2017 at the Hamblen Fire Station.
