JACKSON TWP. — A man involved in a verbal domestic dispute voluntarily turned over his marijuana and was charged with possession.

Police were called to a home on Lick Creek Road for a domestic dispute on Oct. 17, 2016. Danny Hughett, 34, told then-Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Pittman that he had a small amount of marijuana and a pipe in a cigarette pack in his pocket, and handed them to the officer.

He asked the officers to make sure to tell the prosecutor that he cooperated and voluntarily gave up the marijuana, which weighed less than 1 gram, the report said.

Hughett was charged with possession of marijuana in January and was issued a court summons for March. A probable cause affidavit explaining the charges was released May 25.
