A five-vehicle crash near Mike’s Dance Barn on June 2 resulted in no injuries, a police report says. However, traffic on State Road 46 was tied up for more than an hour for cleanup.

A police report says the crash occurred around 8 a.m. when the first driver, Misako Stillwagon, 29, of Bloomington, attempted to pass a semi eastbound near Mike’s Dance Barn. The report said while she was passing she saw a third vehicle coming at her quickly from the opposite direction and she attempted to pull her Corolla onto the gravel shoulder.

Stillwagon wasn’t able to get off the road, the report said. She came back on in the westbound lane and struck a Chevy Silverado driven by Mark Walcott, 58, of Brown County, then the semi, driven by Josif Suclea of Glendale, Arizona, and then Walcott again, the report said. Then the Corolla spun out and came to rest in the driveway at 2108 State Road 46 West, the report said.

While a Ford pickup truck was stopped due to the accident, it was rear-ended by another semi that was westbound downhill. That semi driver was cited for driving too fast for the conditions, according to the Indiana State Police.

The report said there were no injuries. The Corolla had to be towed; the other vehicles did not.
