Dennis Snyder, 79, of Brown County, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Born May 2, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Fredrick and Marion (Fox) Snyder. He was a U.S. Army veteran and then vice president of Business Development before retiring from Hartz Mountain Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Kay (Tarbet) Snyder; they were married for 46 years.

He is survived by his two children, Gregory Snyder of Whiteland, and Denise Martinez (husband, Frank) of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Kyle Snyder of McKinney, Texas, Rachel Snyder of Noblesville, Alaina Martinez of Houston, Texas, and Xavier Martinez of Bloomington. Dennis also leaves behind his beloved dog, Marci.

Dennis had a passion for his dogs, horse and auto racing, and Corvettes; he also enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and reading automobile magazines.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

There will be a private entombment in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Saturday, June 17.
