FRUITDALE — A Fruitdale teen sustained minor injuries to his face after he said he was sideswiped by another vehicle, which kept on driving.

Alexander M. Carney, 17, told police he was northbound on State Road 135 North June 9 near Hurdle Road when he saw a vehicle driving south in his lane, the accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Colton Magner said.

Carney said he swerved to the right as far as he could and the other vehicle hit his truck on the left, rear side.

The mirror broke and hit him in the face, the report said. The vehicle that hit him fled the scene, going south on State Road 135. Carney said it was either a black SUV or truck with a camper shell.

Carney was treated at the scene for his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
