Deborah Lynn (Knight-West) Brightmire, 55, of Warren, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Heart Hospice Hospital.

She was born Jan. 8, 1962, in Franklin, to Donald and Doris (Pedigo) Knight, who preceded her in death. She married Azard (Mickey) West, Feb. 24, 1984; he also preceded her in death.

Debbie was a member of The Bridge of Brown County church. She previously worked at Knights Corner and Brown County Health and Living Community. She was employed at ResCare in Marion at the time of her death. Debbie was a 1981 graduate of Brown County High School.

She enjoyed friends, family and word searches. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was a blessing to all who met her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Randy Brightmire of Warren; sons, Kevin (Ashley) West and David (Erin) West, both of Brown County; stepchildren, Erica (Duane) Dorsett of Warren and Bryan (Stephanie) Nielsen of Huntington; brothers, Don (Sally) and Michael (Robin) Knight, both of Brown County; grandchildren, Mickenzie and Scarlett West, Cody Burberry and Zoey Callon; nephews, Jason and Tony Knight; nieces, Jessica Wagers O.D., Melissa Knight; and their children.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville, Indiana.

Burial will follow in Bond-Hickory Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4 at the funeral home.
