The Brown County Traffic Safety Partnership is participating in the national and statewide Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign through June 4.

“Wearing your seat belt, either as a driver or passenger, is the essential beginning for staying safe on the road,” said Nashville Police Assistant Chief Tim True.

“If you are unbelted, we will pull you over.”

At least five Nashville Police and Brown County Sheriff’s Department officers will work overtime to conduct seat belt patrols around the clock. In 2016, 827 people were killed on Indiana roads, and of those, 36 percent were unrestrained.
