Passenger injured in Buffalo Pike motorcycle accident

VAN BUREN TWP. — A Danville woman was injured in a motorcycle accident on Buffalo Pike Monday after the driver hit gravel and lost control.

Charles H. Whaley, 53, of Alexandria, was driving the motorcycle north on Buffalo Pike with Robin O’Connor, 55, of Danville, as the passenger.

When Whaley hit gravel, the motorcycle left the east side of the road and O’Connor was “partially ejected,” the report by Sheriff Scott Southerland says.

O’Connor was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment for a leg injury, the report said.
