HAMBLEN TWP. — A traffic stop April 14 resulted in a Bean Blossom man being charged with a felony for possessing marijuana.

Nashville Police Officer Kyle Seward’s report said he was on patrol when he saw Patrick Stanley, 34, of Gatesville Road, driving a teal Toyota. Seward stopped the vehicle, but it was unclear in the probable cause affidavit what the reason was.

Seward reported he found about 34 grams of marijuana during the stop.

Stanley was arrested and transported to the Brown County jail.

He was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, but the charge was elevated to a Level 6 felony because he was charged with possession in Bartholomew County in 2001.
