HAMBLEN TWP. — Police have arrested a Brown County man for visiting a common nuisance after finding him inside a pole barn full of live and dried marijuana.

Eric J. Olmstead, 52, of Pumpkin Ridge Road, was at the barn in the 2800 block of Sprunica Road when Brown County Sheriff’s Det. Paul Henderson executed a search warrant.

Police reported finding about 125 marijuana plants in various stages of maturity, plus a file cabinet containing packages of dried marijuana ranging in size from about 1 ounce to 1 pound and more marijuana in mason jars.

Henderson also reported finding 1.1 ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms.

The barn also contained grow lights, digital scales, $26 in $1 bills and a safe with vacuum-packed packages of dried marijuana inside, the report said.

Another man also was in the barn, but he had not been charged as of press time.

Olmstead was charged April 7 with visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor.
