A man who was stopped for driving left of center on State Road 46 East was drunk, police say.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht stopped a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by Joshua L. Clark, 36, of Wesport, at around 11:25 p.m. April 1. Eggebrecht reported smelling alcohol on Clark, that his speech was slow, his eyes were bloodshot and his balance was unsteady.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.12. He was arrested.

He was charged April 3 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more, a Class C misdemeanor. But both misdemeanors were elevated to Level 6 felonies because Clark was convicted of OWIs in Decatur County in 2014.
