Woman charged with drunken driving

A Nashville woman has been charged with felony drunken driving after being arrested on the same charge a second time in less than five years.

On March 14, Brown County Deputy Colton Magner stopped Debra J. Voils, 41, in the 2500 block of Owl Creek Road.

Magner reported that Voils smelled of alcohol, her speech was slurred, eyes were bloodshot and she was unable to balance herself.

Voils refused to comply with a breath test. The results of a chemical test are pending.

She was charged March 15 with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, both misdemeanors. One charge was elevated to a Level 6 felony since she was convicted of the same crime in Bartholomew County.
