Police say speeding on State Road 46 resulted in the arrest of a Bloomington man on drunken driving charges March 10.

Eric T. Latour, 40, was pulled over by Brown County Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht after 1 a.m. Eggebrecht reported smelling alcohol on Latour, that his eyes were bloodshot, his balance was unsteady and that he left his door open.

A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.17, more than twice the legal limit. He was arrested.

On March 10, he was charged with operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
