Manuel John Gunn, 62, of Brown County, died at 3:13 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at his home.

Mr. Gunn was the innkeeper at 1875 Homestead B & B in Brown County.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at 1875 Homestead Bed & Breakfast, 3766 State Road 46 East.

Mr. Gunn was born in Atlanta, Texas, on Aug. 29, 1954, to Robert Linson and Lucy Tolson Gunn. He married Nancy C. Haines on March 27, 1974.

Survivors include his wife 43 years; his mother, Lucy Deberry of Texas; his sons, Manuel John Gunn II of Kansas and Brad Lee Gunn of Pennsylvania; a brother, Russell (Gloria) Gunn of Utah; sisters, Bonnie (David) Vargas and Lily Jo (Joe) Denley, both of Texas; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Linson Gunn.
