School board approves personnel changes, requests

The Brown County School Board of Trustees approved the following March 2:

  • A request from Director of Technology David Phelps to designate obsolete technology items as salvage. “We’re trying to clean house and get rid of some equipment we no longer use,” Superintendent Laura Hammack said.
  • Appointing Brown County Schools Transportation Director Roger Cline full-time with benefits, $52,900 per year, effective March 6. He is a replacement for Cal Blake.
  • Appointing high school equivalency jail program instructor Timothy Allanson, part-time without benefits, $25 per hour, 100 days per year, effective Feb. 21. He is a replacement for Kathryn Kabe.
  • Appointing Brown County Junior High School cafeteria staff Joanna Spalding, part-time without benefits, $10 per hour, 180 days per year, effective March 3. She is a replacement for Casie Gray.
  • Appointing BCJHS cafeteria staff Amanda Lasley part-time without benefits, $10 per hour, 180 days per year, effective Oct. 20, 2016. She is a replacement for Jennifer Terry. Terry was transferred to Brown County High School cafeteria staff part-time without benefits, $12 per hour, one day per week, two to six hours per day, effective March 3, as a replacement for Laverne Mays.
