Nashville has been named an “Underrated Midwest Vacation” by vacation planning and reviewing website TripAdvisor.

Aubrey Sitzman, public relations coordinator for the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the county gets “a handful” of these types of accolades or mentions nationwide every year, often in the fall and winter because of fall foliage and “cozy getaways.”

CVB Executive Director Jane Ellis said visitors come into the center from time to time and mention that they’d seen Nashville or Brown County on a list when it’s in a publication with a large reach.

The other destinations on this list, called “9 Underrated Midwest Vacations That Deserve Four-Season Love,” were Nisswa, Minnesota; Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; Ironwood, Michigan; Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin; Camdenton, Missouri; Custer, South Dakota; Eagle River, Wisconsin; and Petoskey, Michigan.
