Renewed interest and the mild weather have prompted members of the Writers Readers and Poets Society to begin meeting again.

The purpose of this group is to read and discuss the literary compositions of those present.

WRAPS will resume meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Brown County Public Library. The group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month.

Widowed group

The Brown County Widowed Group will meet at 2:30 p.m. Saturday March 11, at the Sycamore Valley Community Center, 746 Memorial Drive, at the fairgrounds. Come prepared to discuss their “favorites” of all sorts.

The group will also sponsor euchre parties at the center at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, March 14 and 28.

Beekeepers club

The 10 o’clock Beeline Beekeepers Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 13 in one of the meeting rooms on the lower level of the Brown County Public Library in Nashville. The club welcomes anyone interested in bees or beekeeping; those interested in starting a beehive are particularly encouraged to attend. Experienced beekeepers are available as mentors.

The major topic of discussion Monday night will be the spring treatment of hives for parasitic mites.

Cub Scout Pack 190

Fifty-seven cars built by Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, their siblings and their parents raced in Pack 190’s Pinewood Derby Feb. 18 at Brown County Junior High School.
