Velma Mae Seitz, 88, of Nashville, died Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at Brown County Health and Living Community.
Born April 9, 1928, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Theodor and Marjorie (Hammond) Seelmaer. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She loved being outdoors, mowing grass and spending time with her cats and dogs.
Velma is survived by two sons, James (Patricia) Seitz and Teddy (Joanne) Seitz, both of Nashville; two daughters, Anita (Harold) Hole of Columbus and Linda (Paul) Axsom of Nashville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Seitz in 1997, whom she married Jan. 20, 1946; and one brother, Dale Seelmaer.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North in Nashville. Friends may visit the family from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Christiansburg Cemetery.
