A Charlestown man has been charged with drunken driving after he was pulled over for a headlight violation.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht stopped a 2002 Lexus driven by Cory Cecil, 23, on Oct. 16 on State Road 46.

The officer’s report said Cecil smelled of alcohol, his speech was slow, eyes glossy and balance unsteady. Cecil refused a chemical test and a warrant had to be obtained, the report said.

He was charged Feb. 17 with three alcohol-related offenses, all misdemeanors.
