Letter: Septic law revisions can pose problems

0

To the editor:

There is a serious problem brewing in Brown County. Our health department has rewritten our septic ordinances and they are going to our commissioners for approval.

If this passes as written you will not be able to sell your house without a $400 septic inspection. If your septic fails you will have to repair or install a new one. If your property doesn’t have the space to do, this they can/must condemn your home.

Don’t feel too bad if this goes through and your home is condemned. You can request the county take it off the tax rolls and join in a class-action suit against the health department!

Call your commissioner at 812-988-4910 or email them at [email protected].
