Letter: Senator working again on state land funding

To the editor:

Once again, our county has a great opportunity to receive some state compensation for all of the state park and state forest land that is in Brown County. Over half of our county is covered by such.

Sen. Eric Koch has introduced Senate Bill 122 and Senate Bill 397 as an attempt to get some compensation for us at the county level.

This is a truly nonpartisan issue and should concern us all. Much-needed potential funding for our roads and emergency services is at stake.

All information on these and other bills and contact information can be found at iga.in.gov. These bills are in committee and all of that information is available.

Please check it out; this is where the state action that affects us happens. The only way they know what we need and want is to let them know.
