COLONIE, N.Y. — Authorities in suburban Albany say they’ve located the car that was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 57-year-old Army National Guard master sergeant from central New York.

Police in Colonie (kah-luh-NEE’) say a 2016 Mazda sport utility vehicle has been located in Melrose, Rensselaer County with significant front end damage. The vehicle has been transported to a state police facility as the investigation continues into the death of Rudolph Seabron of Rome.

Investigators say the owner of the vehicle has been interviewed but there hasn’t been an arrest.

Seabron was hit twice early Sunday. Police say he was killed by the first car and that driver fled the scene. A short time later, police say a second car ran over Seabron while he was lying in the road.
