A Jan. 4 crash resulted in the arrest of a Nashville woman for driving while intoxicated.

According to the dispatch log from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at State Road 46 West and Belmont at 11:38 p.m. In his probable cause affidavit, Sgt. Bill Southerland said he observed the driver, Ashley E. Walden, 30, at the sheriff’s department in a 1991 Chevrolet S10.

Southerland reported that he could smell alcohol on Walden, saw alcohol containers in her vehicle, that her speech was slurred, that her eyes were red/watery and her balance was “unsteady.”

A breath test showed her blood-alcohol content to be 0.257, more than three times the legal limit, the report said.

On Jan. 5, Walden was charged with three alcohol-related misdemeanors.
