Marjorie Maxine (Auer) Fremion, 93, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin.

She was born Dec. 12, 1923, in Coesse, Indiana, daughter of Harmon and Helen (Creager) Auer. She married Clarence George Fremion April 8, 1943; he preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2010.

Marjorie lived in Fort Wayne and later in LaGrange. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. After retiring from Sears, she became a housewife dedicating herself to being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will greatly be missed by her family.

Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Mary (Charles) Backofen of Morgantown, and Jean (Gary Litke) Fremion of LaGrange; a son, Richard (Ann) Fremion of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Marc (Tricia) Backofen of Fishers, Lora (Tim) Powers of Chicago, Illinois, Maryann (David) Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren, Jack and Owen Backofen, Audrey and Ryan Powers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and a sister.

A funeral service conducted by Pastor David Petersen will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 13, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 202 W. Rudisill Blvd. in Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to service.

Interment will immediately follow the service in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Marjorie’s memory to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 202 W. Rudisill Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46807.
