LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION

BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

FOR THE STAFFORD TOURIST HOME

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on January 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Jonathan Stafford a Special Exception to allow a tourist home.

The location of the property is 496 Upper Schooner Road in Washington township.

Legal description of premises:

A Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and a part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 8 North, Range 2 East, Brown County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at a concrete monument stamped “U.S” found at the southwest comer of section 36, Township 9 North, Range 2 East; thence South 86 degrees 31 minutes 7 seconds East 1067.35 feet to a stone marked “S36” and also being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 89 degrees 40 minutes 03 seconds East 768.48 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID Section 1; thence SOUTH 21 degrees 41 minutes 20 seconds West 980.74 feet; thence South 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 400.00 feet; thence North 0 degrees 22 minutes 31 seconds West 915.75 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; containing 12.26 acres, more or less.

The file on this matter is available for public inspection 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
