Road conditions Thursday contributed to 16 accidents in Brown County, including one that injured a local woman.

Rowena S. Teague, 39, of Becks Grove Road, was injured after her vehicle slid off that road and into a ditch early Thursday morning.

Teague was driving west on Becks Grove at around 5:45 a.m. when she lost control and ran of the north side of the road where struck a ditch and possibly a tree, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Pittman.

Teague was taken by ambulance to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment for hip and neck pain, the accident report said. She was wearing a seat belt.

Her 2002 Ford Taurus was towed.

Local law enforcement and emergency officials were busy the rest of the day responding to seven slide-offs and eight property-damage crashes due to road conditions.
