VAN BUREN TWP. — A Monrovia man was flown to a hospital Nov. 1 after he crashed his motorcycle on State Road 135 South near the Brown County State Park Horseman’s Camp entrance.

Police were called at about 7 p.m.

Lt. Mike Moore with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department reported that Bobby L. Blackledge, 63, was northbound when the motorcycle went off the right side of 135 South, then back on the road in the northbound lane and slid on the center line before coming to rest in the southbound lane. Blackledge was ejected and slid down the southbound lane before stopping at the left edge of the road in a ditch, Moore’s report said.

Blackledge had a head injury and Moore was unable to speak with him, the report said. He was not wearing a helmet.
