A Nashville man was arrested Oct. 12 after police say he battered two relatives at his State Road 46 East home.

A probable cause affidavit by Brown County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Bill Southerland said Aaron Shaffer, 25, pushed and hit two people.

One relative confronted Shaffer about being intoxicated, and he pushed that person down and placed the person in a choke hold, the affidavit said.

Shaffer then pushed another relative into a dining room table and hit the person in the head. They tried to prevent Shaffer from leaving, the report said.

Both victims declined medical attention.

Shaffer was charged Oct. 13 in Brown County with two counts of domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, Level 6 felonies; and disorderly conduct, Class B misdemeanor.
