The State Road 45 bridge over Lick Creek officially reopened around 5 p.m., Oct. 24.

The final steps involved sealing and painting, and work crews finished the final touches only minutes before the barriers came down.

The bridge had been closed since May 23, and experienced multiple weather-related delays, such as when rain left the ground too soft for utilities to be relocated.
