PEOGA — A Trafalgar woman and her child were injured in a single-vehicle accident Oct. 23 on Peoga Road.

Danielle L. Ainsworth, 32, told police she was driving 35 to 40 mph when she came to the top of a hill that curved left in the 4700 block of Peoga Road.

Ainsworth’s 2011 Jeep Compass slid on loose gravel and began to spin, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell.

The vehicle hit an embankment on the south side of the road and overturned on the passenger side before stopping on the roof, the report said.

Stargell noted in the report that there had been water line construction in the area which caused sections of the pavement to be replaced with gravel.

Ainsworth complained of pain in her left forearm and her child reported having neck pain. They both were taken to a hospital by ambulance.

The vehicle was towed. Both were wearing seat belts.
