BELMONT — An 18-year-old was injured Oct. 21 after his vehicle crashed into a tree on State Road 46 West.

Caleb Brown’s vehicle left the highway and traveled about 100 feet along an embankment before crashing into the tree, according to a press release from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. The sheriff’s department, Brown County (Nashville) Volunteer Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident at around 2:30 p.m.

Brown sustained minor lacerations and a tear to his left ear, the report said. He was transported by ambulance to Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

His vehicle was towed.
